Leading the way towards improving the performance of both recreational and professional golfers, Shannon Segerstrom, Owner and CEO of inMotionTraining Studio is prepared to teach you the fitness secrets, once reserved for only the top touring Professionals. She has been formally trained by leading experts and cofounders of the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Dave Phillips, Dr. Greg Rose and has over ten years of professional experience in the health and fitness industry.
The Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) was created to provide players with the ultimate golf learning experience. TPI has combined industry leading experts, state of the art technology and world-class facilities to enhance the performance of golfers. The TPI has the largest collection of golf specific health and fitness information from the leading experts in the game. Through their years of research and player development, the experts at TPI believe there are a number of ways to swing the golf club, but there’s only one way to swing it efficiently, and it is based on what your body can do.
Shannon Segerstrom holds a Bachelors of Science in Health Promotion and Exercise. She is a Certified Golf Fitness Instructor through the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI), accredited by the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Certified Personal Trainer, Golf Conditioning Specialist and is Crossfit certified . She has experience working with all ages and abilities. Over her professional career in the health and fitness industry and to this day, she has dedicated herself to helping people achieve a better way of life through exercise.
Shannon has developed relationships with area golf country clubs and fitness centers, offering her golf fitness expertise for individual, group, and professional golf fitness system development, educational seminars and newsletter publications. My golf clientele range from a healthy, athletic golfers just learning how to play for the first time, to an eighty one year old recreational nine-hole player with arthritis, total knee replacement and a history of heart attack and stroke. The training programs that she design involve specifically identifying each clients physical limitations and assessing specific areas of concern regarding mobility, stability, balance and flexibility. Shannon's ultimate goal is to provide the golfer with safe, effective exercise routines tailored to improve ball striking, increase chances of a lower score, and reduce or eliminate pain and risk for injury.
I am passionate about fitness and take pride in helping people create a better sense of self awareness and respect for not only their bodies but their souls. Diversifying my specialties and experience was essential to creating the highest level of service possible and has provided me with a wide spectrum of opportunities and challenges to which I welcome with open arms. I will continue to seek out those opportunities and challenges and develop effective strategies for people to accept fitness into their life. I will also continue to educate friends, family and as many people as I can to the importance of being healthy and fit because for those of you who are already aware, it is the only way to truly live your life!
